From a post on Flickr:
Adora and Shiloh were visiting last week and wanted to go out and take some pictures. In the summer of 2013 they both expressed a desire to learn how to use a camera so I let them use two of my old ones and showed them some basics. The results of their first 'shoot' were a real surprise in the way they carefully considered the shot. It was also comical and wonderful to watch them run around taking pictures of anything and everything.
After that first time I would take them to various places or they would just shoot pictures from their kiddy car seats while we were driving or stopped at red lights (which made for some interesting angles!) It's great fun to see what they choose to photograph.
On their most recent visit we went to Riverwood in Mississauga, an old estate that has been converted to a public space and the girls wandered around taking pictures of whatever caught their fancy while I took pictures of them taking pictures. :-)
If Shiloh's sleeve looks a little stiff in that purple jacket it's because she broke her arm and the cast extends from mid-hand almost to her shoulder. She was worried she wouldn't be able to hold the camera steady but she did a fine job.
By way of encouragement, last year I set up two blog sites for the girls' photographs. The girls chose bright colours for their blogs and lots of animated gifs. :-D
